BRUINS SEIZE CRUCIAL WIN AT MUSKOGEE
Following last Friday’s loss on the road, the Bartlesville High School boys soccer team eyed the ominous possibility of being shuttled out of the chase for the playoffs before it had really began.
But the Bruins redeemed themselves Tuesday night by crushing Muskogee, 4-0, at Muskogee.
The match had been knotted at halftime, 0-0, but Bartlesville erupted on a scoring frenzy after intermission.
Gabe Ontiveros struck for two goals to lead the assault.
Jose Cruz and Dylan McCoy each added one score.
Cameron Molder posted the shutout in goal, with a lot of help from his defense.
The Bruins improved to 2-2 in district with three regular season matches remaining.
Head coach Vladan Glavonic said his squad might need to win all three to get into the postseason. Broken Arrow visits Custer Stadium this Friday.
